They are charging me $38 to ship back a $114 order because it did not fit my bumper. Also says something about a %17 fee. $38 is way more than 17%Everything is pretty straight forward. I read a few posts of people who had broken bolts. The bolts are 8.8 grade metric, which is medium grade at best. Considering they are Chinese, I am sure they are much weaker. I upgraded prior to installation with SAE grade 8 bolts. Used over 500 miles so far with no real issues. Strapping down the bikes is kinda hokie, but they stayed put.It fits pretty well on the bumper, and was not too hard to install....although the directions need some serious work. The quality of the hardware is mariginal, but it seems to be holding so far. Will be a nice way to carry bikes for the whole family. The platform it’s.ef seems very sturdy. BUT......I have owned at least 10 bike racks in my life. I have NEVER seen one that has no straps or no mechanism to actually hold the bike in place. It is more or less a grooved platform - then it is up to the user to figure out their own way to strap them in. I went back and looked at the description on Amazon - I don’t see anywhere that it says straps are not included. Mind boggling. Why would I want a product that is missing a major component?Directions need to be a little clearer but if you take your time and study the pictures you should be fine. Make sure you measure the distant of your bike tires and center them on the bumper. I removed my spare tire (placed it in the back of truck for camping) and used it as an another tie down spot.Great Bike Rack!I replaced my 2 bike rack with this so we can bring all the bikes. Nice kit, it was pretty easy to install. The holes for the second vertical didn't quite line up so I had to drill a new one. And you need to use ratchet straps to hold the bikes as there is nothing to actually secure the bikes with this mount.It is very sturdy. I weigh about 200 pounds and can stand on it no problem. Some of the slots are a little small for mountain bike tires, I had to put my 29er in the last slot!Way better than the typical hitch mount style racks. I never worry that my bikes are going to fall off.May be too heavy for the rear bumper of many travel trailer. My trailer says more than 150 pounds should not be attached to the bumper and this is close to that weight and then adding the bicycles makes it even heavier. Fairly easy to install but I was afraid of weight, so have put it in storage.This appears to be well constructed and I plan to test soon, but a word of warning. This is not meant for the skinnier, taller bumpers. I had to get longer bolts and put 2x6 spacers between the bumper and bolts to get it to fit snug. Time will tell if it is too much weight for it or not.I cant leave a fair review for this product. It said in the description a 4" to 4.5" square bumper, I didnt see that when I ordered it. My bumper measures 4.5" tall but only 1.5" wide. I'm going to add a 2x4 and a few pieces of plywood to extend my bumper and hopefully that will sturdy up the bike rack and get me through the summer.
