The shelf is narrow and clean looking, but still had enough space to put 2 small planters and 1 medium planter on the top shelf. The sturdiness of the shelf is good, but the stability is quite weak without something on it. Once shoes, planters, etc. are placed on the shelf, it becomes more stable.
