I'm using this as a cabinet for my homelab to bring down the noise level of my components such as my NAS and a few other things since it's sitting in my living room. The fans this thing comes with are metal industrial grade ones that sound like a leaf blower when you plug them in. Since I didn't need that much airflow in mine and acoustics were important I replaced them with some Noctua fans and ended up using a Coolerguys programmable fan thermostat / controller and some Noctua pwm fan speed controllers in between so I could set the speed of the fans to reduce the noise level. This setup ended up working perfectly. I also installed some shelves and a cyberpower rackmount surge protector. The cabinet itself is very sturdy and it's nice that the sides come off easily and are lockable with a key like the glass front is. Assembling this was a bit involved but really not that bad, I think it took me like 30 minutes to get the main cabinet put together at a fairly leisurely pace. The exceptional build quality of this thing is evident once you have it all put together.Really the only little thing that I can find fault with on this is that there's this little white plastic ring that goes around the bottom rod that holds the front door on to keep the door properly aligned. So any time you pull on that to release and remove the door that plastic piece just falls right off if you're not careful and then you get to hunt around for it on the floor. I feel like they could have just glued that on to the door during the manufacturing process. Not a huge deal since I'm rarely removing the door at this point but something to keep in mind when working with this.
